(Lock Haven, Pa.) -  Three Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania track and field student-athletes, Jennifer Farrow (Canton/Athens), Jana Kauffman (Strasburg/Lampeter-Strasburg) and Matt Stinson (Wescosville/Emmaus), earned Academic All-America honors as awarded by the NCAA Division II United States Track and Cross Country Coaches Association.
To meet the standards for the USTCCCA Academic All-America award, the student-athlete must be above a freshman standing academically, meet the standards for qualification at the NCAA Division II Championships, and maintain at least a 3.25 grade point average.
Junior sprinter Jennifer Farrow captured her second All-America title in the 400-meter dash last season after finishing third in the finals.  Among her multiple accolades and accomplishments, Farrow was named the NCAA Division II East Region Co-Female Athlete of the Year, was a PSAC Spring Top Ten Award winner and also successfully defended her Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) 400-meter title for the third-straight season.  As a member of the LHU women’s track and field team, Farrow earned PSAC crowns in both indoor and outdoor seasons. Individually, she was the 400 meter indoor and outdoor champion and also anchored the 4x100 meter and 4x400 meter relay squads to conference titles during the outdoor championships.  Farrow broke or re-wrote her own indoor records in the 400 meters (57.77), 200 meters (26.06), 60 meters (8.09) and outdoor marks in the 400 meters (54.19), 200 meters (25.00), 4x100 relay (47.77), and 4x400 relay (3:53.17).  Her indoor and outdoor school records in the 400 meters are also all-time PSAC records.  Farrow, a senior academically, is Recreation-Fitness Management major who posted a 3.83 grade point average during the spring semester and owns a 3.37 overall average.
