	February 11, 2003 Haven's Patakyova Earns PSAC Swimmer of the Week Selection

	(Lock Haven, Pa.) - Tatiana Patakyova (Poprad-Matejouce, Slovak Republic/Gymnazium Pop. Nabrezie), a freshman swimmer for the Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania women’s swim team, was selected as the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Women’s Swimmer of the Week for events ending Feb. 9. Patakyova set two school records this weekend by winning the 100 Fly (58.79) at the Panther Collegiate Invitational held at the University of Pittsburgh and the 500 Freestyle (5:17.09) at the Clarion University Last Chance Meet. The rookie swimmer’s time in the 100 Fly is the fourth best in the conference this season. Patakyova has set a total of seven individual school records this season, and has combined with her teammates to establish a new 200 Medley Relay mark. She has recorded seven National B standard times and conference-qualifying times in nine events this season. The Lock Haven women’s swim team will next compete at the PSAC Championships from Feb. 20-22 at West Chester University.
