LHU's Pollison Named Field Athlete of the Week By Both ECAC and PSAC

(Lock Haven, Pa.) -  Andy Pollison (Long Valley, N.J./West Morris Central), a junior member of the Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania men’s track and field team, has been named Co-Field Athlete of the Week by the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) and Division II Men’s Field Athlete of the Week by the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC).  He shares the PSAC honor with Kutztown University’s Shaun Landis.
Pollison broke his own school record in the pole vault by six inches and provisionally qualified for nationals with a clearance of 15’9” last weekend at the Winter Classic held at Bucknell University.  He garnered a second-place finish in the event, and his height ranks him first in the conference and ninth on the national level.
Both Lock Haven University men’s and women’s track and field teams will be in competition this Saturday, February 22, at the Denault Invitational hosted by Cornell University and at the Kent State Tune-Up.
