LHU's Pollison Named Field Athlete of
the Week By Both ECAC and PSAC

(Lock Haven, Pa.) - Andy
Pollison (Long Valley, N.J./West Morris Central), a junior member of the
Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania men’s track and field team, has been
named Co-Field Athlete of the Week by the Pennsylvania State Athletic
Conference (PSAC) and Division II Men’s Field Athlete of the Week by the
Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC).
He shares the PSAC honor with Kutztown University’s Shaun Landis.
Pollison broke his own school record in the pole vault by six inches and
provisionally qualified for nationals with a clearance of 15’9” last
weekend at the Winter Classic held at Bucknell University.
He garnered a second-place finish in the event, and his height ranks him
first in the conference and ninth on the national level.
Both Lock Haven University men’s and women’s
track and field teams will be in competition this Saturday, February 22, at the
Denault Invitational hosted by Cornell University and at the Kent State
Tune-Up.
