LHU's Holtzer Collects PSAC West Weekly Honors

   
  (Lock Haven, Pa.) -  Kristopher Holtzer (Matamoras/Delaware Valley), a senior guard for the Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania men’s basketball team, was named the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Western Division Player of the Week for contests from Feb. 17-24.  
            Holtzer helped lead Lock Haven to a 2-0 week by averaging 19.5 points and 8.5 boards per game.  He shot 57.7% (15-26) from the field over the two game span.  The 6’2” guard registered a team-leading 25 point performance versus Clarion, including the game winner with 1.2 seconds left , and grabbed 13 rebounds. In LHU’s win over Shippensburg, Holtzer added 14 points.
            On the season, Holtzer is LHU’s leading scorer, averaging 13.3 points per contest.  He adds 5.5 rebounds per game along with 85 assists (3.4 apg).  He is currently 13th on the Lock Haven all-time scorer’s list with 1131 points.
            The Lock Haven men’s basketball team (9-16, 5-6 PSAC West), tied for fourth place in the PSAC West, has one regular season PSAC Western Division match-up remaining, a trip to Slippery Rock University on Sat., March 1.
