LHU's Mushonga and Farrow Nab ECAC Weekly Track

Haven University of Pennsylvania track and field’s Anesu Mushonga (Harare,
Zimbabwe/Prince Edward) and Jennifer Farrow (Canton/Athens) were
selected as the Eastern College Athletic Conference Men’s and Women’s Track
Athletes of the Week for events ending Feb. 23.
Mushonga, who was also selected as the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC)
Track Athlete of the Week, bettered two of his own school records at the Kent
State Tune-Up. He ran a 6.41 in
the 55 meters and clocked a 21.98 in the 200 meters.
Both times keep him at the top of the PSAC performance lists in each
event. This is his third ECAC
weekly honor.

Farrow, a senior sprinter for the Lady Eagles, won the 400 meters in 57.25 at
the Kent State Tune-Up, tying her own school and PSAC all-time record with the
nationals qualifying time. She
also anchored the school-record setting 4x400 relay (3:59.73), running a 55.5
split as the team broke the all-time mark by more than eight seconds. This is
the third time this season Farrow has been honored by the ECAC weekly awards
program.
The Lock Haven University men’s and women’s track and field teams
defend their titles at the 2003 PSAC Indoor Track and Field Championships
hosted by East Stroudsburg University this weekend, Saturday and Sunday, March
1-2.
