LHU Volleyball's Fessette Earns All-America Honors

   
  (Lock Haven, Pa.) -  Shana Fessette (Plattsburgh, N.Y./Beekmantown Central), a setter on the Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania volleyball team, was awarded Daktronics Division II Third Team All-America honors, as selected by a vote of the division’s sports information directors.  
            A senior setter for the Lady Eagles, Fessette is a four-time All-Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference player and a two-time all-region selection.  She became Lock Haven’s all-time assists leader this season, tallying 5,942 career assists.  A four-time All-PSAC pick and a two-time all-region selection, Fessette averaged 12.14 assists per game, was third on the team in blocks (97) and service aces (53), and is fourth with 335 digs.  The senior was awarded all-tournament honors at both the Fairfield Inn Classic and the Lock Haven Classic this season, as well as earning an All-Atlantic Region Tournament team selection.
            The 2001 Lock Haven volleyball team wrapped up the season 28-13 overall with a trip to the NCAA Division II Elite Eight and the Atlantic Region title.
