LHU Basketball's Shadduck Tabbed PSAC West Rookie of the Week

   
  (Lock Haven, Pa.) -  Kristy Shadduck (Meshoppin/Elk Lake), a freshman forward on the Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania women’s basketball team, was selected for Rookie of the Week honors in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Western Division.
            A 6’1” post player, Shadduck registered 13.5 points and 6.5 rebounds per game in a 1-1 week for Lock Haven.  She posted 10 points along with a season-best eight rebounds in the Lady Eagles’ 73-61 win over Indiana (Pa.) University.  In a loss on the road at Edinboro University, Shadduck led LHU and recorded a season-high 17 points in addition to five rebounds.  
            Shadduck has made seven appearances for the Lady Eagles this season, averaging 5.6 points per game and 3.0 boards per contest.  While at Elk Lake High School, she was a 1,000-point scorer and rebounder and was also the MVP of the Lackawanna League as a senior. 
            The Lady Eagle basketball team is currently 7-8 overall and 1-1 in the PSAC West.  This week Lock Haven is on the road for two conference games, facing Shippensburg University on Wednesday, January 22, and a nationally ranked squad in #3 California (Pa.) University on Saturday, January 25.
