(Lock Haven, Pa.) – The
hard work and dedication of Lock Haven University of
Pennsylvania Head Wrestling Coach Carl Poff and his staff has
paid off, giving the Bald Eagle grapplers one of the strongest
recruiting classes in the nation.
Lock Haven is ranked fifth in InterMat’s recently
released list of the Top 25 Recruiting Classes for NCAA Division
I Wrestling.
Seven state champions with a
combined 11 state titles comprise the bulk of LHU’s incoming
class. In addition,
five state qualifiers will also join the Bald Eagle squad this
fall.
InterMat’s 2001 Top Recruiting Class honors went to
Iowa State University, with the University of Iowa, University
of Minnesota, and Oklahoma State University rounding out the top
four.
