Lady Eagle Lacrosse's Dwyer Earns All-America Nod

(Lock Haven, Pa.) -  Megan Dwyer (Collegeville/Perkiomen Valley), a lacrosse player for Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania, earned Second Team Brine/IWLCA/US Lacrosse Division II All-America accolades as recently released.  It is Dwyer’s second All-America nod, making her only the second player in LHU history to earn multiple national honors.
Megan Dwyer receives her second-consecutive All-America honor, also earning Second Team mention last season.  Dwyer is one of only four Haven lacrosse players to earn three or more All-Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) selections, receiving First Team honors this season in addition to a pair of Second Team nods in 2002 and 2000. This season, the senior attacker led the conference and was second in the NCAA Division II in points per game, averaging 5.56 points on a total of 50 goals and 39 assists.
A four-year starter, Dwyer finished out her Lady Eagle career third on the program’s career scoring chart (134 goals) and at the top of both career (79) and single season (39) assists charts.
The Lady Eagle lacrosse team wrapped up 2003 with an overall record of 8-8 and finished fourth in the PSAC with a 3-3 conference ledger.
