LHU Softball's Murray Named PSAC West Player of the Week

   
  (Lock Haven, Pa.) -  Lynnette Murray (Williamsport/S. Williamsport), a junior on the Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania softball team, was selected as the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Western Division Player of the Week for all contests of the season up to and including March 24.  
            Murray, a junior second baseman for the Lady Eagles, has had a large role in guiding Lock Haven to its current 17-6 record. She is hitting .375 (27-72), with 19 runs, five doubles, three home runs and 15 RBIs.  With 17 stolen bases (18 attempts), Murray is already fourth on Lock Haven’s single season chart.  While helping The Haven to a 9-1 mark at the Rebel Games in Orlando, Fla. (3/2-3/10), she lit up the diamond for a .484 batting average with three home runs and four doubles over the ten-game span. From her second base position, the Lady Eagle has recorded 71 putouts and 42 assists.
            The Lock Haven softball team is 17-6 overall.  The Lady Eagles next host Slippery Rock University in their PSAC West opener on Saturday, March 30, at 1 p.m. on Lawrence Field.
