Haven Softball Team Earns National Ranking
Lady Eagles Enter USA Today/NFCA Division II Poll at 23rd

   
  (Lock Haven, Pa.) -  The Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania softball team earned its first national ranking of the season, entering the USA Today/NFCA Division II Top 25 poll at No.-23 as of March 27.  This is the first time under third-year head coach Kelley Green that the Lock Haven team has been listed among the nation’s top teams.
            The Lady Eagles are 17-6 overall and have already bettered the team’s wins total (16) from last season. Most recently, LHU went 4-1 at the Shippensburg Invitational, losing its first game against #20 Gannon University (4-1) before scoring wins over Mercyhurst College (5-0, 3-0), Shippensburg University (4-3), and Indiana (Pa.) University (8-4).
            Lock Haven softball opens up Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Western Division competition this Saturday, March 30, at home against Slippery Rock University with a doubleheader starting at 1 p.m.
