LHU Lacrosse Players Nab All-Conference Honors
Head Coach Kristen Geissler Named Coach of the Year

(Lock Haven, Pa.) -  Diana Strizki (Flemington, N.J./Hunterdon C.R.) and Megan Dwyer (Collegeville/Perkiomen Valley), both of Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania women’s lacrosse, were selected as All-Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) players as released today.  First-year Lock Haven mentor Kristen Geissler earned recognition as the PSAC Coach of the Year as voted on by conference coaches.
Freshman attacker Diana Strizki, one of only two rookies on the all-conference list, earns First Team All-PSAC Offense honors after completing a standout inaugural season with the Lady Eagles.  Strizki was Lock Haven’s top goal scorer and was among PSAC leaders with 42 goals (2.63 gpg), and finished second in scoring with 59 total points from 42 goals and 17 assists.  She netted goals in all but one game this season, and tallied multiple goals in 11 of 14 contests.  Strizki’s season high came in the final game of the year, a 17-14 overtime win over Shippensburg, when she scored eight goals and two assists.
Megan Dwyer, a junior attacker, nabs her second all-conference mention after attaining the award as a freshman in 2000.  This season, Dwyer received Second Team All-PSAC Offense honors after leading the Lady Eagles in scoring with 60 points.  She posted 37 goals along with a team-best 23 assists, and like her teammate Strizki, added points on the scoreboard in all but one contest this season.  Dwyer tied the school record for assists in a season (23), and in the process, became Lock Haven’s all-time assists leader with 40 over her three-year career.
Head Coach Kristen Geissler (Lock Haven, ’98) earns PSAC Coach of the Year accolades in just her first season at the helm of the Lady Eagle program.  Geissler led Lock Haven to a 7-9 overall mark and a fourth-place finish in the PSAC with a 3-3 ledger.  Not only did the season herald a marked improvement over the past three seasons, when LHU went a combined 2-34, but it was also the first time a Haven squad posted seven wins since the 1996 campaign.
