	May 7, 2003 Three Lady Eagle Softball Players on All-PSAC Team

	(Lock Haven, Pa.) - Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania softball players Lynnette Murray (Williamsport/S. Williamsport), Lynn Spiezio (Trooper/Methacton) and Amanda Sheets (Hughesville/Hughesville) were selected as First Team All-Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) players in voting conducted by the league’s softball coaches. Lynnette Murray, a senior, earns her second straight First Team All-PSAC award as a second baseman for the Lady Eagles. Murray paced Haven infielders by recording a .993 fielding percentage, posting 105 putouts, 47 assists and only one error all season. She hit .346 and led LHU along with ranking among PSAC leaders in RBIs (28), doubles (10) and home runs (4). Her 37 hits and 14 stolen bases were second on the team. With her RBI total from the season, Murray becomes the Haven’s all-time leader in the category with 81 over the span of just three-years. Lynn Spiezio is also a two-time all-conference selection, this year earning First Team honors as an outfielder after receiving Second Team mention last season. A sophomore centerfielder, Spiezio led the team and was fourth in the PSAC with a .394 batting average. She also paced LHU in at bats (109), runs (22) and hits (43). She is the conference leader in stolen bases, registering a total of 17 on the season. Joining Murray and Spiezio on the First Team All-PSAC list is freshman designated player Amanda Sheets. Sheets spent the majority of the season serving as the designated player, and also filled in at first base on occasion. The rookie batted .305 with 18 hits including six doubles and one home run. She led LHU in walks, drawing eight over the course of the season. The Lock Haven University softball team wrapped up its 2003 campaign at 13-21 overall and 8-12 in the PSAC Western Division.
