LHU's All-PSAC Lacrosse Players (L-R):  Megan Dwyer, Diana Strizki and Amanda Vetterlein

(Lock Haven, Pa.) - Three women’s lacrosse players from Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania, Megan Dwyer (Collegeville/Perkiomen Valley), Diana Strizki (Flemington, N.J./Huntingdon Central) and Amanda Vetterlein (Springfield, Va./West Springfield), earned a spot on the All-Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Lacrosse team as selected by the league’s head lacrosse coaches.  Dwyer earned first-team offense honors, while Strizki and Vetterlein both received second-team mention for offense and defense, respectively.
Megan Dwyer earns her second-straight All-PSAC selection and her third overall, this year garnering First Team honors after receiving Second Team mention in 2002 and 2000.  The senior attacker led the PSAC and is second in NCAA Division II in points per game, averaging 5.38 points on a total of 50 goals and 36 assists. She is eighth in the nation in assists per game (2.25 apg) and 13th in goals per game (3.13 gpg). Dwyer posted six goals and six assists against East Stroudsburg University, a game-high points total that ranks second-best in the nation.  She recorded five goals in two games and collected four goals in another three games over the course of the season.  Dwyer completes her four-year career with the Lady Eagles as the program’s all-time assists leader (76) and is third on the all-time goals list (134 goals).
It is also the second time on the all-conference list for sophomore attacker Diana Strizki, who was selected for Second Team offense accolades.  Strizki was second on the team and sixth in the conference in scoring, registering 4.00 points per game from 47 goals and 17 assists.  Her total of 47 goals rank her eighth on the LHU single season list. She scored a season high of six goals in a win over Lycoming College, and recorded three goals in games on three other occasions.  Strizki has 89 goals and 34 assists on her career, putting her in sixth place on the LHU all-time goals chart.
Amanda Vetterlein earns her first all-conference nod, receiving Second Team Defense honors.  She is the first defensive player from LHU to be named all-conference since the 1998 season. Vetterlein, a senior defender for the Lady Eagles, played a large role in helping rank the defense third in the PSAC by limiting opponent offenses to 10.25 goals per game. She registered 38 ground balls, 25 interceptions and five draw controls in addition to four assists over the season. Vetterlein is also a three-year PSAC Scholar-Athlete and an Honors Program student at the University.
The Lock Haven University lacrosse team finished 8-8 overall and was 3-3 in the PSAC.
