Haven Baseball's Leitzinger Merits All-PSAC Honors

(Lock Haven, Pa.) - Greg Leitzinger (State College/State College), a freshman on the Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania baseball team, earned a spot on the All-Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Baseball team as selected by the league’s head coaches.
        Leitzinger, a freshman for the Bald Eagles, earned Second Team All-PSAC Western Division honors as a catcher. He was the starting catcher in 25 of LHU’s 39 games, finishing third on the squad with a .338 batting average. Leitzinger pounded out 22 hits along with eight RBI’s and was tied for second on the squad with seven doubles. Behind the plate, he pocketed 142 putouts and nine assists while committing just four errors.
        Originally hailing from State College Area High School, Leitzinger was a three-sport letterwinner for the Little Lions in baseball along with football and swimming.
        The Bald Eagle baseball team went 15-24 on the season, finishing 6-14 in the PSAC West.
