LHU Cross Country Runners Garner All-Academic Honors
Lady Eagle Squad Earns Team Recognition

  (Lock Haven, Pa.) -  Three members of the Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania men’s and women’s cross country teams received All-Academic honors from the NCAA Division II Cross Country Coaches Association, while the women's team obtained All-Academic team honors for its sixth-straight year.
        Meghan Johnson (Brookville, Pa./Brookville), Mike Rohl (Harleysville/Souderton Area) and Larz Selmer-Larsen (Mill Hall, Pa./Bald Eagle-Nittany) were named All-Academic harriers during the 2002 season for their outstanding performance on the course and in the classroom. These athletes have maintained at least a 3.25 grade point average throughout their collegiate careers and placed among the top 30-percent at their respective regional championships.
        Meghan Johnson
, a senior Elementary/Special Education major, earns her second All-Academic honor.  Johnson consistently finished as the Lady Eagles’ number one or two runner, including a 59th–place performance at the NCAA Division II East Region championships in 26:18.
      
Mike Rohl, a junior Engineering major, helped the Bald Eagles to an eighth-place finish at the East Region championship with a 65th place performance in 35:53.  
        Larz Selmer-Larsen
, a Cellular and Organismal Biology major, was also a consistent competitor for the Bald Eagle cross country team.  Selmer-Larsen peaked at the NCAA regionals, finishing as LHU’s number-two runner in 35th place (34:46) on the 10K course.  
       
In addition to the individual honors, the LHU women’s cross country team earned its sixth-straight All-Academic Team award for having a combined grade point average of 3.03.
