LHU's Maney on Verizon Academic All-District Team

   
  (Lock Haven, Pa.) - Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania wrestler Mike Maney (Clarence, Pa./Bald Eagle Area) was selected as a member of the Second Team of the Verizon Academic All-District University Division At-Large Team as recently released by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).  
            It is the first such award for The Haven’s Maney, who received National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) All-Academic honors earlier this month. The junior grappler carries an overall grade point average of 3.451 in Secondary Education with a concentration in Social Sciences.  Maney, a two-time Division I All-American at 141 pounds, is a three-time Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Scholar-Athlete, a three-time NWCA All-Academic wrestler and earned PSAC Winter Top Ten honors this past season. He is a three-time PSAC champion and NCAA Division I Championships participant. 
The At-Large award honors student-athletes from 24 varsity level sport including men’s and women’s gymnastics, skiing, fencing, ice hockey, swimming, water polo, lacrosse, tennis, golf and rifle, women’s crew, women’s field hockey, men’s volleyball and men’s wrestling.
