(Lock Haven, Pa.) - George
Bailey (Philadelphia/St. John Neumann),
a senior forward for the Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania men’s
basketball team, was named the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC)
Western Division Player of the Week for contests from Nov. 15-26. Bailey opened up the 2002-03 season strong, averaging 22.5 points, 11.5 rebounds, and 4.5 blocks in a 1-1 start for the Bald Eagles. He posted double-doubles in both games, scoring 22 points with 11 rebounds in an 80-62 loss to Virginia State University before a 23-point, 12-rebound effort in LHU’s 66-55 win over Bloomfield College. He recorded nine blocks over the stretch, taking over the Lock Haven all-time record with 88 deflections. The Lock Haven men’s basketball team (1-1) next travels to Mansfield University on Friday, December 6, for a 7:30 p.m. contest. |
