Lady Eagle Soccer Moves Up to 16th in National
Rankings
Lock Haven Seated Second in Northeast

Haven, Pa.) - The
Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania women’s soccer team has moved up to 16th
in the latest edition of the NSCAA/adidas Division II Women’s Top 25
rankings released this week. The
Lady Eagles, seated in a tie for second in the Northeast Region, had previously
slid to 25th in the nation and fifth in the Northeast Region
following a loss two weeks ago.
Holding down the top spot in Division II is Northern Kentucky University
(9-0-1), while Franklin Pierce College (7-0-0) and UC San Diego (7-1-0) are
second and third. Christian
Brothers University (7-1-0) and Barry University (9-0-0) round out the top
five.
Lock Haven women’s soccer is currently 7-1-1 overall and 3-0-0 in the
Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference following a 2-0-1 week.
The Lady Eagles soundly defeated Concordia College, 11-0 and beat
Edinboro University 4-1 before settling for a 3-3, double overtime, tie versus
C.W. Post. Up next for the
Lady Eagles is a home contest versus Millersville University (7-1-1, 3-0-0 PSAC),
who is also undefeated in the conference and currently ranked sixth in the
Northeast Region.
