LHU Harrier Chris Cowan Named PSAC Runner of the
Week

(Lock Haven, Pa.) - Chris
Cowan (Horseheads, N.Y./Thomas A. Edison),
a sophomore cross country runner for Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania, was
selected as the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Men’s Runner of
the Week for events ending September 29.
Cowan was the Bald Eagles’ top finisher last weekend, crossing the
line second among all NCAA Division II runners at Lehigh University’s Paul
Short Invitational. He registered
a time of 25:13.76 and finished 23rd overall while competing against
a predominantly Division-I field of 233 participants.
Cowan was a 2001 NCAA Division II National Cross Country Championships
individual qualifier as well as an all-region and All-PSAC runner as a
freshman.
The Lock Haven men’s and women’s cross country teams host the LHU
Invitational this Saturday, October 5, at 11 a.m.
