Lady Eagle Soccer Ranked 11th in Latest National

Haven, Pa.) - The
Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania women’s soccer team earned a national
ranking of 11th in the latest NSCAA/adidas Division II Women’s
Top 25 rankings released this week. The
Lady Eagles, seated second in the Northeast Region for the second-straight
week, had moved up to 16th place nationally last week.
Holding down the top spot in Division II is Northern Kentucky University
(11-0-1), while Franklin Pierce College (9-0-1) and Christian Brothers
University (9-1-0) are second and third. The
University of Nebraska, Omaha (10-0-0) is fourth and Barry University (11-0-0)
closes out the top five.
Lock Haven women’s soccer is currently 9-1-1 overall and still
undefeated at 5-0-0 in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference following a
2-0 week. Last week, the Lady
Eagles scored a last minute, 1-0 victory over Millersville University and a 2-0
win against Kutztown University to retain their flawless conference mark.
Up this week for The Haven is a match-up against the only other
remaining undefeated PSAC team, Shippensburg University (9-2-0, 3-0-0 PSAC), on
Wednesday, Oct. 9, and a game versus East Stroudsburg University (4-7-1, 3-1-1)
on Sunday, Oct. 13.
