Lady Eagle Soccer Back Among Nation's Top Ten

Haven, Pa.) - The
Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania women’s soccer team is back among the
nation’s top ten, ranked eighth in the latest edition of the NSCAA/adidas
Division II Women’s Top 25 rankings released this week.
The Lady Eagles, seated in a tie for first in the Northeast Region, were
ranked 11th nationally in last week’s poll.
Northern Kentucky University (13-0-1) holds down the top spot, while
Christian Brothers University (11-1-0) moves up to the second slot. Ranked third is the University of Nebraska, Omaha (13-0-0).
Franklin Pierce College (9-0-2) and Barry University (13-0-0) complete
the top five, respectively.
The Lock Haven women’s soccer team is 11-1-1 overall and undefeated at
7-0-0 in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC).
Last week the Lady Eagles scored an important regional and conference
victory over Shippensburg University, 1-0, before a 2-0 victory over East
Stroudsburg University. This week
Lock Haven faces PSAC opponent Clarion University before a big regional
face-off against No. 7-ranked Adelphi University (10-0-2).
LHU and Adelphi are currently tied for first place in the Northeast
Region rankings.
