LHU's Spease Named PSAC Field Hockey Player of the Week

   
  (Lock Haven, Pa.) -  Shannon Spease (Liverpool/Greenwood), a senior field hockey player at Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania, was selected as the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC)  Player of the Week for games ending September 10.
            Spease, a senior forward for the Lady Eagles, scored the first hat trick of her career as Lock Haven downed defending Division III national champion William Smith, 4-0, last Saturday. She scored a total of seven points over the week, also aiding the LHU offense with an assist versus Juniata College.
            Spease, an All-American and All-PSAC forward, is currently second among LHU point scorers (3g, 1a).  Her three scores this season give her a career total of 31 goals, making her the 11th player in LHU history to tally more than 30 goals. 
            The defending Division II national championship field hockey team, Lock Haven is 3-0-0, and is scheduled to open up conference action on Wednesday, September 12, at Millersville University.
