	September 17, 2001 Nichols Earns PSAC Women's Soccer Weekly Honor

	(Lock Haven, Pa.) - Becky Nichols (Wind Gap/Nazareth), a women’s soccer player for Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania, was selected as the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference’s Women’s Soccer Player of the Week for games ending September 16. Nichols, a junior midfielder, scored the game winner against Edinboro University in double overtime, giving the Lady Eagles the 2-1 triumph and their first conference win of the season. She also added two goals and an assist in Lock Haven’s 8-1 victory over Gannon University this past Saturday. Nichols, a 2000 All-American, is currently among team scoring leaders with four goals and two assists. The Lady Eagle soccer team is 5-1 and 1-0 in the PSAC. Upcoming competition includes a road trip to Millersville University on Wednesday, September 19 (6 p.m.) and a home contest against Kutztown University on Saturday, September 22 (3 p.m.).
