(Orlando, Fla.) – The Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania softball team is now 7-6 overall after splitting a pair of contests today at the Rebel Games in Orlando , Fla.   The Crimson and White defeated Southwest State ( Minn. ) University, 9-2, but dropped a one-run, 1-0, game to Truman State University
            The Haven got a 4-1 jump on Southwest State after three innings and sealed the win with a four-run blast in the sixth frame to bring the final to 9-2. Kelly Deitrick (Danville/Danville) was key at the plate, posting four hits and three runs scored, while Courtney Hughes (Schwenksville/Souderton) added three hits, an RBI and one run scored. Shona Guevara ( Chino Hills , Calif. /Ruben S. Ayala) picked up her fourth win of the season to improve to 4-2, striking out seven along the way.
            In the second game of the day, the Lady Eagles suffered a 1-0 loss to NCAA tournament regular Truman State University . The Bulldogs scored the game-winner in the second inning, and scattered four Haven hits to come out on top.  Molly Shuey (Tower City/Williams Valley) received the loss after giving up three hits in 3.2 innings of work. Shuey is now 1-3 on the season.  
           Lock Haven softball, now 7-6 overall, will take on South Dakota State University and Minnesota State-Mankato to wrap up its stint at the Rebel Games.
