Pa.) – The Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania
softball team (22-13, 12-4 PSAC West) collected two
non-conference wins this evening on the road against Holy
Family University (17-18-1), winning the first game 2-1 in
extra innings before freshman pitcher Stephanie
Kinch (Painesville, Ohio/Riverside) threw a no-hitter
in game two leading up to a 7-0 victory.

Calif.
/Rueben S. Ayala) fanned
11 batters in nine innings of work in game one, allowing
just four hits in the 2-1 victory.
The Lady Eagles relied on the international
tiebreaker to score their winning run in the top of the
ninth, holding off the Tigers in the bottom of the set for
the win.
The Haven shut down the Tigers in game two, Stephanie
Kinch logging the no-hitter in a five-inning game
called due to darkness.
Kinch, who improves to 4-4, struck out four along
the way. The offense was just as potent, pounding out 10
hits for the 7-0 victory. Lynn
Spiezio (Trooper/Methacton) paced the Haven bats going
3-for-3 with an RBI, two runs scored and a stolen base.
Heather
Johnson (Williamsport/Williamsport) went 2-for-3.
Courtney Hughes (Schwenksville/Souderton) and Kelly Deitrick (Danville/Danville) registered one hit each and both
had two RBI.
