SHIPPENSBURG, Pa.
– The Lock Haven University softball team (34-10) placed two on the NCAA
All-Mid-Atlantic Regional Team, tournament officials announced today
(May 14). Senior centerfielder
Lynn Spiezio (Trooper, Pa./Methacton) joined sophomore third
baseman
Stephanie Hallowell
(Eagleville, Pa./Methacton) on the squad.
Spiezio went a combined .444
(4-of-9) over the three games, scoring three runs and driving in three
while adding a trio of stolen bases. Hallowell matched her batting
average at .444 (4-of-9) and drove in a pair of Lady Eagle runs.
The game
wraps up a 34-10 season, the second-most wins in school history and the
second time the Lady Eagles hit the 30-win plateau. The team earned six
all-region and eight all-conference selections as well as the conference
coach of the year trophy for head coach
Kelley Green.
