Lady Eagle Swimmers in 11th Place at PSAC Championships

WEST CHESTER, Pa. – The  Lock Haven University women’s swim team is in eleventh place after two days of competition at the 2005 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Championships hosted by West Chester University.  The Lady Eagles are eleventh in the 13-team field with 55 points. West Chester currently leads the women's race with 358 points. 

The 200 yard freestyle relay squad consisting of Gerda Smirnova (Riga, Latvia), Tatiana Patakyova (Poprad-Matejouce, Slovak Republic), Danielle Kreiger (Harrisburg, Pa./Central Dauphin) and Diane Sujansky (Plum, Pa./Plum) was eighth with a finals time of 1:40.84.

Sujansky also placed 13th in the 50 yard freestyle with a time of 24.52. Sujansky’s time also qualified her as an NCAA ‘B’ Standard.

The 400 yard medley relay team of Patakyova, Kreiger, Laura Barnsley (Glenn Rock, Pa./Susquehannock) and Kelly Greiniesen (Pittsburgh, Pa./Plum) placed 10th with a score of 2:16.64.  

The PSAC Swimming Championships continue today.
