LOCK HAVEN, Pa. –
The No.
8 Lock Haven
University swim team (2-0, 2-0 PSAC) won seven of nine
individual events and one of the two relays while routing
Mansfield University 102-89 at Zimmerli Pool. Freshman
Kelly Greineisen (Pittsburgh,
Plum) had a breakout day, taking two individual events and
a relay win.
Greineisen finished first
in the 50-yard freestyle (26.40), the 500-yard freestyle
(5:34.17) and swam a leg of the first-place 200-yard
medley relay. Joining her on that relay squad was junior
Tatyana Patakyova (Poprad-Matejouce,
Slovak
Republic/(Gymnazium Pop. Nabrezie) who also took first in
the 200-yard freestyle (2:00.65).
Also topping two events
was sophomore Isabel Carniero (Rio de Janeiro,
Brazil)
in the 1000-yard freestyle (11:29.70) and the 200-yard
butterfly (2:13.25).
Greineisen, Patakyova, Carniero and the rest of the Lady
Eagles take to the pool again on Thursday-Saturday,
Nov. 18-20 at the Terrapin Cup Invitational hosted by the
University of Maryland. |
