Dempsey Grabs ECAC Award

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – Sophomore Jim Dempsey (Blue Bell, Pa./Wissahickon) was named the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Co-Field Athlete of the Week for his efforts at the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) West Challenge during the week ending April 10. This is the first weekly award for both Dempsey and the Lock Haven University men’s outdoor track and field team this season. 

Dempsey cleared 6-foot-10 ½ on the high jump, taking first place at the PSAC West Challenge, hosted by Clarion University, earning the first NCAA Provisional-Qualifying mark for either Lock Haven squad this outdoor season.

Dempsey and the rest of the Bald Eagles are back in action Friday, April 15 at the Bucknell Distance Carnival.
