LOCK HAVEN, Pa.

Cowan (Horseheads, N.Y./Thomas A. Edison) and junior
Fieldon Daubert
(Annville, Pa./Annville-Cleonia) were named the Eastern College Athletic
Conference (ECAC) Track and Field Athletes of the Week for their efforts at
the Bucknell Outdoor Classic during the week ending April 17. This is the
first weekly award for both Cowan and Daubert, and the third and fourth for
the Lock Haven University men’s outdoor track and field team this season.
Cowan took
third in the 5,000 meters against mainly Division I competition at the
Bucknell Outdoor Classic, topping the school record with a 14:26.08 time.
His effort also earned an NCAA Provisional-Qualifying mark.
Daubert threw a NCAA Provisional
195-foot-7 in the javelin at the Bucknell Outdoor Classic, good for fourth
place in the mainly Division I meet. He also hit for a PSAC qualifying
46-foot-2 in the shot put.
Cowan, Daubert and the rest of the Bald
Eagles are back in action Saturday, April 23 at the Bucknell Five-Way.
