Long Slotted for ECAC Award

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – Junior Chris Long (Bloomsburg, Pa./Central Columbia) was named the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Field Athlete of the Week for his efforts at the Big Red Outdoor Invitational during the week ending May 1. This is the first weekly award for Long and the fifth for the Lock Haven University men’s outdoor track and field team this season. 

Long threw a 196-foot-2 in the javelin at the Big Red Invite, over 10 feet longer then his prior season best. His NCAA Provisional Qualifying mark is the sixth for the LHU men's squad this season

Long and the rest of the Bald Eagles are back in action Sunday, May 8 as they host the LHU Last Chance Qualifier.
