LHU TRACK & FIELD WRAPS UP ACTION AT PENN RELAYS

(Philadelphia, Pa.) - Several members of the Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania outdoor men’s and women’s track and field team wrapped up action at The Penn Relays in events from Friday through Saturday.
      Mike Brito (Union, N.J./Union) won his section and was 33rd overall in the 400 meter hurdles, recording a time of 54.00. Teammate Jacob Merrill (Kingsley/Montrose) ran a 55.44 in the same race to place 46th overall.
      Andy Pollison (Long Valley, N.J./West Morris Central) placed fifth overall in the pole vault after clearing 15’1”. The relay of Mike Brito, Keith Veldhuis (Thamesford, ONT/Ingersoll DCI), Anesu Mushonga (Harare, Zimbabwe/Prince Edward) and Tim Hite (Altoona/Altoona) placed fourth, covering the distance in a combined time of 3:20.95.
        In the championship division of the javelin throw, Nick Slotterback (Lewisburg/Lewisburg) placed 12th with a distance of 197’3”. Teammate Fieldon Daubert (Annville/Annville-Cleona) was also 12th in the college division, throwing for 190’3”.
