LOCK HAVEN, Pa.
– Senior Chris
Cowan (Horseheads, N.Y./Thomas A. Edison) was named the Pennsylvania
State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Men’s Track Athlete of the Week for his
efforts at the Penn Relays during the week ending May 1. This is the first
weekly award for both Cowan and the Lock Haven University men’s outdoor
track and field team this season.
Cowan ran a
PSAC-best 30:00.03 in the 10,000 meters at the Penn Relays, finishing sixth
in the "Championship" Division. His time set a school record, provisionally
qualifies him for nationals and ranks seventh overall in Division II.
Cowan and the rest of the Bald Eagles
are back in action Sunday, May 8 as they host the LHU Qualifier at Hubert
Jack Stadium.
