Lock Haven went 0-2 to end the 2003-04 season, falling 99-59 against Pitt-Johnstown before an 89-80 loss versus Slippery Rock University.
The Bald Eagles suffered a 99-59 drubbing against the University of Pittsburgh-Johnstown (18-8) on the road on Wednesday.

It took Lock Haven just over 10 minutes to reach double-figures on the scoreboard, as a hot-shooting Pitt-Johnstown Mountain Cat squad cruised out to a 31-10 lead by the 9:28 mark.  The Haven would match their scoring the rest of the way, but the damage was still evident in the 46-25 halftime deficit.  Pitt-Johnstown shot a blazing 64.5-percent in the second half to move out to the final 99-59 tally.
Freshman forward Michael Dye (Milford/Delaware Valley) led LHU in scoring with 10 points.  Joe Walker (Lock Haven/Central Mountain) added eight points and a team best of five rebounds.  Julien Grandgirard (Vesoul, France/Dayton Christian) came up with seven points.

On Saturday, the Lock Haven men’s basketball team saw a nine-point halftime lead evaporate as Slippery Rock University (8-19, 5-7 PSAC West) came up with an 89-80 victory in Thomas Fieldhouse.  The Bald Eagles close out the 2004 season with an overall record of 4-23 and a 3-9 PSAC Western Division mark.
Riding a 12-point effort by senior Brian Rieben (Collegeville/Devon Prep), the Bald Eagles pushed out to a nine-point, 43-34 halftime advantage.  The second half would be all Slippery Rock, however, as the visitors scored the first nine points of the stanza to tie the game up at 43-43 with 16:07 on the clock.
Three lead changes later the Rock took a 58-57 lead on a layup by Glenn Reepmeyer.  Lock Haven was unable to reverse the trend, as Slippery Rock punched out to as much as an 11-point lead, 77-66, with just under four minutes left to play.  The Bald Eagles would move to within three points, 80-77, with 1:30 remaining, but the Rock’s free throws widened the gap for the 89-80 final.
Both teams had a big night shooting, Lock Haven hitting 50.8-percent from the floor while Slippery Rock made 61.8-percent on the game, including a blazing 76.9-percent in the second half.  The Haven out-rebounded Slippery Rock, 33-31.
Lock Haven’s Joe Walker produced his fourth double-double of the season with a team high of 23 points and 15 rebounds. Walker added three steals, a pair of blocks and two assists. James Chappell (Coatesville/Coatesville Area) had 18 points and five assists.  Both Brian Rieben and Eddie Christiano (Coal Township/Lourdes Regional) chipped in with 12 points. Rieben added seven rebounds, five assists and two blocks.
