(Lock Haven, Pa.) - The Lady Eagle volleyball team scored a 3-0 win, 30-21, 30-24, 30-26, over California (Pa.) University (19-14, 3-7 PSAC West) this evening in its final regular season contest.  Lock Haven improves to 26-5 overall and 8-2 in the PSAC West with the win.
                In game one, the Haven owned a 26-18 advantage before California tallied two straight points. Middle Lillian Bortoto (Sao Paulo, Brazil/Campos Salles) put down the ball for the kill to bring the score to 27-20, then a block by Bortoto and Amanda Snyder (Portsmouth, Va./Churchland) made it 28-20. A California error was followed by an LHU error, but a kill by Kristi Kauffman (York/Central York) on the next point gave the game to the Haven, 30-21.
 

Up Next:  Lock Haven has earned the second seed in the Western Division in the PSAC post-season tournament, and will host No. 3-seeded Indiana ( Pa. ) University (23-10, 6-4 PSAC West) on Tuesday, November 11, at 7 p.m.   Edinboro University (24-10, 8-2 PSAC West) has earned the top seed in the West.  The winner of Tuesday’s first-round match-up will advance to the PSAC semifinals, to be played on Friday, November 14, at the site of the highest remaining seed in the Eastern Division.
