LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Lock Haven University volleyball program and head coach Tom Justice announced the 2005 recruiting class today (July 13).  The three-person list includes two freshman and one junior-college transfer.  One student-athlete stayed inside the Keystone borders, one comes from Delaware, while the other is from Japan.

“With our program being senior dominated, I brought in a smaller class this year,” said Justice.  “This class will fill our needs as a team and provide necessary depth at every position on the floor.”

Played two seasons at Coffeeville Community College in Kansas as a setter … “Mayumi has great ball control skills,” said Justice.  “She transfers with a 3.6 GPA and a great knowledge of the game of volleyball.”

Named first team all-regional in 2003 … Was team captain her senior season … “Stacey is one of a few high school middles who is also an excellent defender and passer,” said Justice.

Kirstin Sowers – Freshman – OH – Wilmington, Del./John Dickinson
Honored as first team all-conference in 2004 … Three-year varsity letterwinner … “Kirstin wants to be a coach after college," said Justice, “so she has a good head for the game.”
