Travels to Florida for NCAA Division II
Women’s Volleyball Championship

HAVEN, Pa. –
After remaining undefeated in tournament play thus far this season, the Lock
Haven University Women’s Volleyball team (28-3) will travel down the coast
to sunny Miami Shores, Fla. as they go head to head with top-seeded teams
from across the nation for the NCAA Division II Women’s Volleyball
Championship. Playing host to the Elite Eight tournament will be Barry
University.
Lock Haven
comes into the championship fresh off their sweep of California University
(26-6) in the Atlantic Regional tournament. The first-round match-up
features South Central Regional champ Truman (30-0) versus the Northeast
Region winners Queens (New York) (27-4). Undefeated Southwest Regional
champions Nebraska-Kearney (32-0) will take on Pacific Region champs Cal
State San Bernardino (22-3). Great Lakes champion Northern Michigan (21-5)
will face North Central Regional winners Minnesota Duluth (20-4). The Lady
Eagles will face the South Region champion Barry (25-1) starting at 7:30
p.m.
All quarterfinal matches will be held on Thursday starting at noon with
Truman playing Queens, while the semi-finals will be played on Friday at 5
p.m. and 7:30 p.m. The game to decide the National champion will be held
Saturday at 7 p.m.
