Li announced to All-American team for Division II Volleyball

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. –The Lock Haven University volleyball team (28-3) brought home the hardware as several Lady Eagles were announced to the Division II All-Region team.  Sophomore Li Yizhi (Shanghai, China) was named to the Division II All-American team for her stellar season as a middle blocker for the Lady Eagles.

Along with Li, freshman Inga Kurgonaite (Kaunas, Lithuania/Yuozas Urbsys) was chosen to the 2004 American Volleyball Coaches Association Atlantic All-Region team.  Kurgonaite was also named Atlantic Region Freshman of the Year.

Picked for the 2004 Daktronics Division II Volleyball All-Region First Team was Li.  Named to the Second Team was Lilian Bortoto (Sao Paula, Brazil).

The Lady Eagles will face off against Barry University (31-1), tonight in Miami Shores, Fla. in the Elite Eight round of the NCAA Tournament.
