INDIANA, Pa. –
The Lock Haven University volleyball team (10-1, 4-0 PSAC
West) made short work of Cheyney University (0-4, 0-3 PSAC East) tonight,
winning in straight sets; 30-4, 30-3, 30-8 at the Indiana University
Crossover. The Lady Eagles' best offense was the serve, as they recorded an
astonishing 38 aces.
Leading the way for LHU in the kills department was junior
Kelly Kostelich (Venetia/Peters Township) with seven strikes and no
errors for a 1.000 hitting percentage. Maggie Borden (Hanover/Delone
Catholic) followed right behind with six kills of her own.
Kostelich and Allison Furry (Guys Mills/Maplewood)
shared the setting duties, earning 11 and 10 assists, respectively.
Kostelich, Borden, Furry and the rest of the Lady Eagles are
back in action Saturday, Sept. 25 at 10 a.m. against East Stroudsburg
University in game two of the three game tournament.
