SHIPPENSBURG,
Pa. – The Lock
Haven University volleyball team (16-3, 3-2 PSAC West)
swept West Chester University (10-7, 2-3 PSAC East) in its
first game of the PSAC Crossover, a two-day tournament
hosted by Shippensburg University, 30-12, 30-20, 30-25.
The Lady Eagles benefited from a stellar defense, as three
different players had double-figures in digs.
Sophomore Li Yizhi
(Shanghai,
China) continues to be one
of the top players in the nation, as she hit .400 and led
the team with nine kills on 20 attempts. Li led the Haven
in defense, recording team-highs in digs and blocks with
14 and six, respectively.
Senior Lillian Bortoto
(Sao Paulo,
Brazil/Campos
Salles) joined Li with six blocks of her own (two solo)
and eight kills.
