EDINBORO, Pa. – The Lock Haven University volleyball team (21-3, 6-2 PSAC West) rebounded from a tentative start to down Edinboro University (11-18, 2-6 PSAC West), 3-1 tonight. Sophomore Li Yizhi (Shanghai, China) posted a double-double with 23 kills and 16 digs.

The Lady Eagles stumbled out of the gate, dropping the first set 28-30. LHU nearly fell in the second 30-28, with momentum carrying from there, 30-20 and 30-18.

Joining Li with double-digit kills was Lilian Bortoto (Sao Paulo, Brazil/Campos Salles) with 16 and Michelle Deehan (Upper Marlboro, Md./Gwynn Park) adding 13. Deehan also posted a double-double with her team-high 20 digs.

“In the first game, we were too tentative,” head coach Tom Justice said. “After a while, we started to figure things out and block well. That was key to our win.”
