
INDIANA, Pa. –
Powered by an amazing 22 team
blocks, the Lock Haven University volleyball team (22-3, 7-2 PSAC West)
maintained their stranglehold on first place in the Pennsylvania State
Athletic Conference (PSAC) West Division with a 3-1 win over Indiana
University (Pa.) (24-9, 5-4 PSAC West). The Lady Eagles avenged their first
conference loss, a 3-2 decision to IUP at home Sept. 28, winning tonight by
a score of 20-30, 30-22, 30-25, 30-24.
Sophomore Li Yizhi
(Shanghai,
China) recorded 24 digs, good for fourth
in school history. She also paced the team in kills with 21 for a
double-double.
Junior Allison Furry
(Guys Mills, Pa./Maplewood) guided the offensive attack for the Haven
with 33 assists. Senior Lilian Bortoto (Sao Paulo, Brazil/Campos
Salles) and Li led the block parade with 10 and nine, respectively.

Li, Furry,
Bortoto, and the rest of the Lady Eagles are back in action Friday, Nov. 5
