EDINBORO, Pa.—
Neither team wanted to hang on to the ball tonight, as the
Lock Haven University women’s basketball team (2-17. 1-4
PSAC West) were one away from their season-high 35
turnovers and Edinboro University committed a season-high
23 giveaways in the Fighting Scots’ 76-60 victory tonight.
The Lady Eagles out-shot
Edinboro 50 (19-of-38) to 46 percent (25-of-55), but EU
increased their scoring opportunities by topping LHU 34-23
in turnovers-caused and 11-6 in offensive rebounds. Due to
these two factors, Edinboro had 17 more chances from the
field.
Sophomore guard
Allison Hall
(Hollidaysburg,
Pa./Hollidaysburg)
led LHU in scoring with 18
points and a game-high eight rebounds. Completing the trio
of Lady Eagles in double figures were sophomore forwards
Shameka L. Lee
(Washington/HD Woodson) and
Ginger
Williams (Pasadena, Md./Chesapeake) with 13 and 10
points, respectively.
Hall, Lee, Williams and
the rest of the Lady Eagles are back in action Saturday,
Feb. 2 at 7 p.m. as they host Columbia Union University. |
