LOCK HAVEN, Pa.—The
Lock Haven University women’s basketball team (0-5) failed
to crack the win column for the fifth game this season,
dropping a 63-46 decision to Millersville University (3-1)
tonight at the Thomas Field House. Haven sophomore
Shameka L. Lee (Washington/HD Woodson) led all scorers
with 13 points and nabbed six rebounds.
The Lady Eagles led just
once in the contest, at 4-2 on a lay-up by guard
Elizabeth Gabrielle (State
College, Pa./State College)
two minutes into the game.
The Marauders sped away in the second half 32-22, despite
being out-shot 38 percent (13-of-34) to 44 percent
(7-of-16).
Joining Lee in
double-figures was the team’s lone senior Melissa
Picarsic (Acme,
Pa./Mt. Pleasant)
with 11 points and a
team-best seven rebounds.
Lee,
Gabrielle, Picarsic and the rest of the Lady Eagles will
be back in action Thursday, Dec. 9 at 6 p.m. as they host
Alderson-Broaddus College. |
