LOCK
HAVEN, Pa.—The Lock Haven
University women’s basketball team (0-6) fell victim to a
balanced Alderson-Broaddus College (3-3) attack 55-47
tonight at the Thomas Fieldhouse. Three Battlers scored in
double-figures, with a fourth reaching nine points.
The Lady
Eagles jumped out to an early 6-1 lead, surrendering that
advantage with 14 minutes left in the first half. The lead
would change hands five times in the next eight minutes,
with LHU holding their final advantage at 21-19 on an
Allison Hall
(Hollidaysburg, Pa./Hollidaysburg)
jumper with 6:15 left in the first half.
Senior
Melissa
Picarsic (Acme, Pa./Mt. Pleasant)
led LHU with 15 points and nine rebounds,
narrowly missing the team’s first double-double of the
season. Hall would chip in with 14 points and a team-best
four steals.
Picarsic,
Hall and junior center
Kristi
Shadduck (Dimmock, Pa./Elk

were the only Haven players in the scoring
column until the 11:17 mark of the second half.
The Lady

trimming the lead to two with a shot by Picarsic at the
3:48 mark. The surge would flatten out, as LHU would not
score for the remainder of the contest.
