WEST CHESTER, Pa.
– Despite a season-high three players in double digit
scoring, the Lock Haven University women’s basketball team
(0-7) dropped their seventh-straight tonight to West
Chester University, 73-62. Sophomore guard
Allison Hall
(Hollidaysburg,
Pa./Hollidaysburg)
paced the team with highs of 11 points and nine rebounds.
The Lady
Eagles led just once in the contest, posting the game’s
first two points on a shot by junior
Kristy
Shadduck (Dimmock,
Pa./Elk Lake).
Trailing by as much as 27 in the second half, LHU showed
some spark at the five-minute mark, sprinting for a 14-2
run to finish the contest, but could get no closer than
11.
Five
different Lady Eagles chipped in during that run,
including five points from sophomore guard
Elizabeth
Gabrielle (State
College, Pa./State College)
who finished with eight points and a team-best five
assists.
Sophomores
Candace
Sillers (Lebanon,
Pa./Lebanon)
and Ginger
Williams (Pasadena,
Md./Chesapeake)
joined Hall in double figures with 10 points apiece.
Hall,
Shadduck, Gabrielle, Sillers, Williams and the rest of the
Lady Eagles are back in action Wednesday, Dec. 22 at

p.m. at Kutztown University. |
