Medina Chosen EWL Wrestler of the Week

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – Fresh off a pair of dual-meet wins, sophomore Joshua A. Medina (Las Vegas/Pima C.C.) was picked Eastern Wrestling League (EWL) Wrestler of the Week for his efforts in duals against Stanford University and #3 Iowa State University Jan. 21. It is the first honor for both Medina and the Lock Haven University wrestling team this season.

Medina got two wins in the duals with Stanford and Iowa State on Friday. He topped the Cardinal’s Zach Hensley 7-5 before beating Aron Scott of Iowa State to end his day. The two wins improved Medina to 16-6 on the season, including a 6-1 mark in dual competition.
