LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – Battling four nationally-ranked opponents, including bringing three top-15 opponents to the Thomas Fieldhouse, the Lock Haven University wrestling program and head coach Rocky Bonomo announced their 2005-06 schedule today (June 21). “It’s admittedly a tough schedule,” admitted Bonomo. “In order for this young squad to improve, they need to face the top competition. It speaks well for our program that we could bring these top teams to the Thomas Fieldhouse.”

The 2005-06 Bald Eagles see their first mat action at the PA Duals Sunday, Nov. 13 at Penn State University. LHU’s first home contest features their highest-ranked opponent of the season No. 11 University of Wisconsin, Saturday, Nov. 19 at 7:30 p.m. The team will once again host the nationally-recognized Mat Town Invitational Nov. 26, but also hosts dual meets with No. 14 Cornell University and No. 13 Penn State University in January. The Bald Eagles begin Eastern Wrestling League play at home against Edinboro University, Friday, Feb. 3 at 7:30 p.m. Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Championships are Jan. 27-28, while the EWL Championships are March 4-5. ###LHU### |
