GRANTVILLE, Pa.
– Lock Haven University head wrestling coach Rocky Bonomo has made it
a practice of sharing his knowledge of the sport with anyone who will
listen. This year, he will have a grand stage to work on, as he has been
asked to run a clinic at the annual Pennsylvania Wrestling Coaches (PWCA)
Convention Friday-Sunday Oct. 28-30.
Bonomo will lead a clinic on set-ups and
control ties at the three-day PWCA event, joining 14 of the top coaches in
collegiate and high school wrestling.
“It’s an honor to be associated with
this great group of coaches at this elite event,” Bonomo said. “I love to
talk wrestling, and this is a great way to do just that.”
Bonomo will join his brother, Rick,
former LHU head coach and NCAA Division III Hall of Famer Neil Turner, as
well as Stanford University’s head coach Kerry McCoy, Pat Smith of the NCAA
Champion Oklahoma State University, Army head coach Chuck Barbee and
legendary high school coach Ray Nunamaker, as well as other well-respected
instructors.
This year’s guest speaker will be
nationally-recognized actor Billy Baldwin, a former wrestler at Binghamton
University.
